Fairfield School District
October 22nd, 2024
Dear Parents and Community,
I hope this letter finds you well. Today, we conducted a scheduled safety procedure at Fairfield Schools as part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff.
As part of this initiative, K316 Detection Services, a professional canine detection team based in Billings, visited our school. Their highly trained detection dog, Mira, was brought in to conduct a routine canine sweep of the premises. This service is part of a multi-school effort in our area to ensure that our schools remain free of dangerous substances and items that could threaten the safety of our students.
We want to reassure you that the sweep was conducted with minimal disruption to the school day. No students were in direct contact with the canine team during the process, and normal school activities continued as scheduled.
At Fairfield Schools, the safety and well-being of our students is always a top priority, and we believe that proactive measures like these are important in maintaining a secure environment. We appreciate the partnership with K316 Detection and their professionalism in conducting these services.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding today’s canine sweep or any other safety measures at Fairfield Schools, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our school community safe.
Sincerely,
Dustin Gordon
Superintendent
Fairfield School District
