News from Mr. Chuck Merja! Two teams from Sun River Valley Robotics traveled to the Southern Utah FTC qualifier on the campus of Southern Utah University in Cedar City, UT over the weekend. They did an outstanding job during round robin qualifying rounds and ended up in the elimination rounds as members of the #1 and #2 seeded alliances, which culminated in them playing each other in the championship matches. The alliance including 724 prevailed over the alliance including 14019. 724 put up several scores over 300 points including 3 of the top 4 scores for the day, and also won a coveted Design award, which is an award that rewards aesthetics and function.
This was a good final tune up for state competitions the next 3 weeks... Feb 2 in Bozeman, MT; Feb 10 at Weber State, UT; and Feb 17 Moscow, ID.
